A week of Palestine-related events from 17th to 24th of April

The Dublin branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) is holding a week of events from 17th to 24th of April to highlight Palestinian life and culture.

Special guests will include:

- Reem Kelani, acclaimed Palestinian singer and musician, who makes her Irish debut in the Village on Monday 18th and gives a workshop in Arabic singing on Tuesday 19th;
- Eamon Delaney of Magill and Michael Jansen of the Irish Times, who will participate in a media debate in Liberty Hall on Wednesday 20th;

- Sha'wan Jabarin, human-rights activist and Amnesty's first Palestinian prisoner of conscience, who will introduce a film in Trinity on Thursday 21st;

- Kenizé Mourad, Middle East journalist and author, who will launch her book on Israel/Palestine in the Irish Writers' Centre on Friday 22nd.

The Awareness Week will also feature an information day on Saturday 23rd, where those interested can speak to activists from IPSC and other organisations involved in Palestinian solidarity, and find out the many ways they can help. The programme of events ends with a Palestinian lunch on Sunday 24th.

Tickets for the Reem Kelani gig, the singing workshop, and the Palestinian lunch can be booked in advance by ringing 087 207 2187. All other events are free.
