We hope to start a garden on some waste ground within the school. The school are happy for us to use some overgrown land to grow vegetables, trees, flowers. All help very welcome! If you would like to grow some of your own food, cut down on food miles, make a school grounds more beautiful, please join us on the afternoon of Sunday 30 April. We will meet at 2 p.m. . |

Jump To Comment: 1Four gardeners descended on the site, and spent the afternoon doing some digging. The school have donated quite a big area of grass to us, and it's not as overgrown and inaccessible as we had feared. We prepared a bed and planted some of the lettuces left over from our sister garden in Dolphin's Barn (which unfortunately is closed down at the moment). This could be the inauspicious start to something big.
Next meeting is probably going to be this Wednesday evening.
Watch this space for more.
