A Taste of our Past with an Eye on our Future
The Inishowen Summer Gathering is a two day celebration of Inishowen’s heritage, community and environment. This year it is being held on Inch Island (on Lough Swilly – North East Donegal) on June 30th and July 1st.
As with the other years there will be a children’s play area, traditional crafts on display, creative opportunities for all ages, talks and walks, demonstrations of alternative technologies, holistic living experiences, camping for the family, good healthy food, and entertainment around the campfire.
The Gathering committee is joining with the Inch residents to produce a unique blend of talent and fun for the Inishowen Gathering 2007. All have an interest in sharing the fine landscape and heritage of the area with others. Also of great interest is how we, as a community, might prepare best for the future and to become more sustainable. It is ‘A taste of our past with an eye on our future’!
A detailed programme will be available closer to the weekend event. If you’d like to be involved, keep in touch on-line www.inishowensummergathering.com (See also photos of the Gathering 2005 and ’06)
