Sunday World Dirty Tricks And Strabane Sinn Fein

Strabane IRSP recently became aware that Sunday World 'reporter' Hugh Jordan had contacted members of Strabane Sinn Fein requesting a meeting as he wanted to write a story about "the Irps in the local area".

Following his initial contact, a number of Sinn Fein members have met Mr Jordan on several occasions over the last few weeks. Strabane IRSP are aware of the identities of all involved.
We have decided to make this public at this time because we suspect that these meetings between Jordan and Strabane Sinn Fein will result in yet more sensationalist black propaganda aimed at members of the IRSP.

Some time ago another journalist Anton Mc Cabe wrote a story in La (Irish Language paper) alleging that Willie Gallagher lived in luxury with a big fancy car etc etc. Each and every one of Mc Cabes allegations were disproved with evidence at a later meeting between senior members of the IRSP and Mr McCabe and his NUJ representative Eamonn MC Cann. Anton McCabe indicated that his source for the story was a local senior member of Sinn Fein.
We not not know what stories and lies will be printed but we suspect that Mr Jordan is targeting Strabane IRSP at the behest of one of his Special Branch friends.
