RAG Open Meeting - Domestic Abuse

category dublin | gender and sexuality | event notice author Thursday November 22, 2007 02:16author by ragbot - RAGauthor email ragdublin at riseup dot net Report this post to the editors

Discussion to mark the end of International 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence
Topic - Domestic Abuse
Focus - Anarchist and feminist
Location - Seomra Spraoi
Date - Mon 10th Dec, 7pm
Open to all genders

RAG is an anarchafeminist publishing collective. We have just produced the second issue of our magazine. We are now starting back with monthly Open discussions. The aim of these meetings is mainly to allow us to explore our ideas and to develop articles for the next issue of the magazine. Meetings will generally take place on the first Monday of every month. The next open meeting will however be on the second Monday in December - Mon Dec 10th at 7pm.

We decided to mark the end of the International 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence by holding a discussion on domestic abuse. It will be hosted by a member of RAG who is a volunteer on a domestic violence helpline, and will encourage discussion and debate around the issue from anarchist and feminist perspectives. It is open to all genders.

Seomra Spraoi, 4 Mary's Abbey, Dublin 1. Blue door on the luas tracks, just off Capel St, past the Boar's Head pub.
