Trade unionists meet with Alex maskey Belfast lord mayor, to organise a mass demonstration against Sectarian murder attacks.

Trade unionists met with Alex Maskey Sein Fein mayor, to call for a day of mass demonstrations against the recent ongoing Sectarian attacks and murders. Gerard Lawlor 19, was shot dead last weekend by a loyalist UFF murder gang in north belfast, it is thought the same UFF gang murdered protestant Gavin Brett and postman Danny McColgan. Journalist Martin O' Hagan was also shot dead last september by a LVF/UFF murder gang. A couple of weeks ago, Michael Brett and his paramedic colleagues went on a one day strike, after their colleague Brian Mckee was attacked and hospitalised by a 30 strong armed UFF gang, when he raced to attend Ligoneil residents attacked by the same gang. Brian Mckee previously treated the injured and dying at the shankill rd bomb. There has been a massive outcry after the murder of Gerard Lawlor. support for the mass demonstrations was unanimous apart from DUP politicians who refused to support the demos.
