The recent collapse of 5 housing regeneration schemes in Dublin city has been a massive blow to the communities involved.
The group campaigning for regeneration in St Michael’s estate in Inchicore have set up an en excellent website. The site can be found at www.stmichaelsestate.ie.
Campaigners are appealing of continued solidarity and support. A petition can be signed on the site.
The petition calls for: "An Taoiseach Brian Cowen, Minister John Gormley and Dublin City Council to take action to ensure that the St Michaels Estate 14 acres site will be physically and socially regenerated as a matter of urgency. The PPP regeneration process forced on the people of St Michael’s Estate has taken over seven years and cost the state millions despite that fact that not one brick has been laid to date"
