50 ag léirsiú Shell chun Sáile i mBF

Tháinig ar a laghad 50 duine chuig léirsiú Shell chun Sáile i mBaile Andarsain i mBéal Feirste tráthnóna inniu, ag tacú le Maura Harrington agus ag éileamh go gcuirtear an Solitaire thar sáile. Níorbh fhada gur chuir bainisteoir an staisiúin Shell scairt ar na póilíní, ach lean na gníomhaígh leis an agóid, ag scaipeadh billeogaí faoi Maura ags an cás i Maigh Eo faoi láthair. Mar is gnáth, fuair na gníomhaígh tacaíocht mhór ón phobal, tiománaithe ag buladh a mbonnán agus coisithe ag tabhairt a mbeannacht leis an fheachtas. Leanfar leis na léirsithe agus an feachtas ag dul chun cinn.

At least 50 people came to the Shell to Sea demonstration in Andersonstown in Belfast this evening, supporting Maura Harrington and demanding that the Solitaire be sent abroad. It wasn't long into the demo when the manager of the Shell station called the police, but the activists continued with the protest, distributing leaflets about Maura and the current situation in Mayo. As usual, the activists received a lot of support from the community, with drivers honking their horns and pedestrians wishing the campaign the best. The demonstrations will continue as the campaign develops.
