Wed 10th Dec 7.30pm Seomra Spraoi

Ladies & genderfuckers, deviant boi’s & grrrl’s, queers, queens, trannies, grannies genderqueers, dykes, fags, faeries, femme’s, crossdressers, crips, crutch’s, butterflies, Butch’s, bears, sissies, pansies, dandies, tom boi’s, poly chufters … insert yourself here: ______________ (you know who you are!) & our friends… are cordially invited to the first organising meeting of queer spraoi:

Regular queer events in seomra spraoi* opening space to explore queer issues, politics & identities, meet new people have some fun.

We envisage film nights, cafes, discussions, dance offs, dress up parties, over throwing sexism, homophobia, transphobia, patriarchy & capitalism (for starters anyway…) the space is open & everyone is welcome to bring their ideas & get involved.

Wednesdays meeting will be about brainstorming some ideas for queer spraoi & organising our first event for January.

*Seomra Spraoi is an autonomous social centre in Dublin city centre. It is run by a non-hierarchical collective on a not-for-profit basis. It hosts workshops, political meetings, film screenings, kids activities, café’s, socials, and lots more. The centre seeks to be a hub of positive resistance, in a city where public spaces have been eaten away by consumerism & property speculation. We have lots of fun too…

Accessibility: We are currently refurbishing the building at seomra spraoi with an aim to make the building as accessible as possible by the New Year. If you have concerns or questions relating to accessibility, please contact us.

Seomra Spraoi is situated:
10 Belvedere Court

(10 mins walk from north side of O’Connell St)
