For 33 years I have been trying to clear my name. I have been publicly labelled a terrorist. The Irish Army refuses to release my files from 1969. After my family, led by my 83 year old mum, held a press conference recently the Minister for Defence announced that he would release my files: to my original tormentors, the Army. Not to me or my lawyers. Irish way and Irish laws are very secretive I fear. Please help me get Justice to be seen to be done!!!

when i posted my original comments i had hoped that some of the soldiers with whom i served might break their silence and tell me what they know of my case. the man who arrested me, pat dixon, the one who drove the car or the one who interrogated me, gerry o'sullivan, but alas all i heard was silence. kakaesque as ireland can be. last july i got the judge advocate generals review of my case quashed in the high court. justice quirke found that i did not get fair procedures - ever. unfortunately the legislature has no effect on the executive in this government so from the state and their media - silence. the same media who pilloried me in 1997. since 1969 i have been trying to clear my name and been blocked by the powerful people who operate this state in secret. le meas donal de roiste
Lobby your local politicans, and get onto the national and local media.
Community radio stations should give you airtime.
Go back to them every month if you have to- they have the airspace.
Not many people like the arrogance of this govt.

A chairde unlike in a republic or god forbid, a democracy we have a top down system of gevernment in Ireland. Every 4 years or so we get a pretend say in the power structure and then we are ignored. That means if you live to be 80 and have been voting since 20 you will have had 15 shots at democracy Irish style. I have been lobbying for years. They promise you the moon to your face and then do nothing. None of them ever crosses the floor on an issue and the media see me as 'old news'. Since when is injustice old news.
