I read last sunday that only one garda will be prosecuted - Donal Corcoran. The Independent Investigation hasnt even finished, let alone published its findings. As faras I know, they are still waiting to take statements from witnesses. Once again, the gardai have delivered justice. The only thing it has accomplished is making us all very very angry. Roll on 2004, then we'll see who'll need stitches. Today's pig is tommorows bacon!

If no at least a public independent enquiry into the events of the day should be held. Like they used to do in NI over incidents like cullyhana (hope I am spelling this right).
As far as I know, there are plenty of people taking civil action, but this will be hampered by the garda cover up. If only one garda is prosecuted, how can 10 people take a case against a whole force?
