It’s now 100 years since George Moore published the first volume, ‘Ave,’ of his three-volume autobiography - ‘Salve’ and ‘Vale’ were the other two volumes - and to commemorate it Margaretta D’Arcy and John Arden have been busy creating a ‘Tea with George Moore’ event, the first part of which will be launched at the forthcoming Forge at Gort festival on March 25th-26th.

Moore has been somewhat neglected. This will go some way towards restoring awareness of this writer of many parts, who came to despise being a Catholic and who endured a tragic falling-out with his MP brother. Details at 091.564822 ext 312.
