Against Speciesism

Lecture with Dr Dan Lyons .

TCD Animal Rights is hosting a talk and debate with the Irish Anti-Vivisection Society and guest speaker Dr Dan Lyons , of Uncaged campaigns .
The title of the talk will be " How can we tackle cruelty to animals in a human-supremacist world ?" It is open to the public as well as to college students and staff , and there will be time for questions and discussion following the lecture .
It will begin at 7.30pm on Wednesday 9th March in the Jonathan Swift Theatre at Trinity College Dublin .

TCD Animal Rights is a student activist group working for total animal liberation . One of our major goals is the abolition of vivisection in Trinity College , and this event will be one of many with which we hope to publicise our cause and raise awareness of the atrocities commited against sentient beings in our university every single day . The so-called "research" for which these innocent animals die is a scientific absurdity ,with which any real scientist would be ashamed to be associated . And yet those responsible for issuing licenses allowing the torture and murder of living ,breathing creatures claim to be proud of the work they do .
Our aim is to expose the scientific fraud that is vivisection , and have this shameful and archaic practice replaced with real,humane methods of research as soon as possible .
