'East Timor: Birth of a Nation' photo exhibition

An exhibition of photographs and writing about East Timor will be on at Ecotopia in Co. Clare all this week.

After 400 years of Portugese colonial rule, 24 years of brutal indonesian occupation and two years of UN administration, the East Timorese people finally have their own nation. This small exhibition documents the first free elections which took place last September.
