Around 2 BILLION people may lose their jobs in the next couple of months due to pandemic

But on reading that story we come across the good news and it is

US billionaire wealth skyrockets to over $3 TRILLION during pandemic

For example:The top five US billionaires—Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett and Larry Ellison—saw their wealth grow by a total of $75.5 billion, or 19 percent. Together they captured 21 percent of the total wealth growth of all 600-plus billionaires in the last two months.

Which all goes to show there are upsides this all of this. That will give the billions in poverty something to cheer about.UN says 120 million jobs at risk and $1.2 trillion losses for global tourism industryhttp://www.indymedia.ie/article/107400#comment3018252020-08-29T18:38:05+00:00TIf you wanted proof that this whole Covid pandemic hoax was designed to eliminat...If you wanted proof that this whole Covid pandemic hoax was designed to eliminate the tourism industry, a UN report which advises that up to 120 millions jobs in the sector are at risk world wide proves the point along with losses of up to $1.2 trillion (or 1,200 billion !)

This was reported by rt.com here: https://www.rt.com/business/499172-covid-losses-tourism-un/

The United Nations (UN) has released figures on the devastating impact of Covid-19 on global tourism, warning that the outbreak may cost the troubled sector $1.2 trillion in losses and put 120 million tourism jobs at risk.

In a recently published policy brief, the UN projected that international tourist numbers may decline by between 58 percent to 78 percent in 2020, compared to last year. According to its calculations, such an “immense shock” for the industry, which accounts for the bulk of some countries’ revenues, could translate into a drop of between 850 million and 1.1 billion international tourists.

....
As one in 10 people on Earth work in the tourism sector, the unprecedented crisis threatens the wellbeing of millions, the organization warned. Thus, 100 million to 120 million direct jobs in tourism may be wiped out, while unemployment in countries heavily reliant on tourism may spike by more than 20 percent.

The report from the United Nations is reported on the UN website here: https://www.un.org/en/coronavirus/it-imperative-we-rebuild-tourism-sector
And the report itself here: https://www.un.org/sites/un2.un.org/files/sg_policy_brief_covid-19_tourism_august_2020.pdf

One quote from it is:

Scenarios for the sector indicate that international tourist numbers could decline by 58 per cent to 78 per cent in 2020, which would translate into a drop in visitor spending from $1.5 trillion in 2019 to between $310 and $570 billion in 2020. This places over 100 million direct tourism jobs at risk,

The pending Big Financial Reset was predicted back in 2015http://www.indymedia.ie/article/107400#comment3018282020-09-03T16:21:08+00:00TFor many years numerous financial commentators had been talking about the pendin...
For many years numerous financial commentators had been talking about the pending disruption of the financial system when the US dollar looses its world reserve currency status. Alongside this were many reports that not only would the gap be replaced by a gold back standard but that the gold prices had been suppressed by the US for years in order to hold off that day and that since the early 2000s both China and Russia had been buying gold in anticipation of that event.

Now the World Economic Forum composed of the financial elite and the same people who brought us endless wars are talking about the "Great Reset" and they are holding a conference on that very subject in the next few months.

So it is with interest, that one person actually spelt that out and that was a Dutch man called Willem Middelkoop who first published a book called: The Big Reset with subtitle War on Gold and the Financial Endgame in 2013 and which became a best seller. This likely means that all the insiders are aware of what is now happening and have already protected themselves.

What this means is there is a high likelihood the rest of us are going to get fleeced which basically means the investments backing pensions will plument in value and there will be a huge drop in living standards and "wealth" of a broad section of the population.

Here is the blurb for the revised edition from 2015 because it is instructive when you consider events today.

A system reset seems imminent. The world's financial system will need to find a new anchor before the year 2020. Since the beginning of the credit crisis, the US realized the dollar will lose its role as the world's reserve currency, and has been planning for a monetary reset. According to Willem Middelkoop, this reset will be designed to keep the US in the driver's seat, allowing the new monetary system to include significant roles for other currencies such as the euro and China's renminbi. Prepare for the coming Reset In all likelihood gold will be re-introduced as one of the pillars of this next phase in the global financial system. The prediction is that gold could be revalued at $ 7,000 per troy ounce. By looking past the American 'smokescreen' surrounding gold and the dollar long ago, China and Russia have been accumulating massive amounts of gold reserves, positioning themselves for a more prominent role in the future to come. The reset will come as a shock to many. 'The Big Reset' will help everyone who wants to be fully prepared. This fully revised edition of Middelkoop's book takes into account developments since its original publication, which have only strengthened the case for the coming return of gold.

Vintners representatives say they are expecting many of Ireland’s 7,100 pubs to remain shut once restrictions are eased and Covid financial supports are halted.

On March 15th, 2020, the Government requested the closure of pubs in the State – which employ about 50,000 people – for two weeks as a result of Covid-19. Many have not reopened since.
