In the wake of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences Bill) 2006; as amended in 2007, two expert committees were set up to look at :- The issue of consent , to which interest groups were invited to make submission; and in the wake of that a committee was set up under the chairmanship of Mary O Rourke (Senator) to look at amending the Constitution. Latest news on the issue of Protection is that the State may postpone the Referendum now until 2009, because they do not (nor do the opposition) want the two Referenda to coincide and create confusion for the voter. The Government had discussed holding a referendum on Protection on the same day as the Lisbon Treaty Vote. read full story / add a comment

Many readers will ask- what on Earth is this person on about?? Of course the Government wants to stop violence!!!!!!!! Does it really?? No, that is propaganda. Violent men and women are rewarded by the system in secret courts not open to the public. Secret courts are supposed to keep the childs identity secret.!! That is not what is being kept secret at all. Rather- it is the corruption of the state agents, lawyers, judges etc that is kept hidden. read full story / add a comment

Sean Hoey was found not guilty yesterday of involvement in the bombings which claimed twenty nine lives in Omagh on August 15, 1998. Justice Weir at Belfast Crown Court said police were guilty of a "deliberate and calculated deception" in their handling of the investigation. Despite having been held in prison on remand for four years ,Hoey has received no apologies from the judiciary , police , politicians or press who have allowed the young electrician to be scapegoated to cover up for the role of intelligence agencies in the bombings . Relatives of the bombing victims have vowed to continue their fight to bring the truth about what happened on that tragic afternoon to light. Justice Weir’s indictment of the police and Hoey’s acquittal square with the findings of Police Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan whose report in 2002 said that the RUC deliberately ignored crucial intelligence that, if acted upon, could have averted the tragedy. read full story / add a comment

The New York Times has run a story which immediately has been taken up globally on the destruction of video tapes by the CIA of an interrogation despite those tapes being potential evidence in Congressional inquiry, hearings or other such grand jury activity. Thus, we see the issue of torture, CIA use of extreme interrogation techinques & the Bush regime allowance of said placed on the table of forthcoming review of that agency & the other 15 intelligence services of the USA during the next presidency. But for the moment it's just a story about "Al Qaeda" suspect Abu Zubaydah being subjected to the notorious water boarding data extraction sicko kicks of the CIA in 2002. read full story / add a comment
