Action on X in conjunction with Galway Pro-Choice has called a candle lit vigil for this Saturday the 17th of November beginning at the Garden of Remembrance at 4pm

Savita Halappanavar (31) died in Galway hospital of septicaemia on October 28th after she was admitted where she was found to be miscarrying at 17 weeks. Even though she was in pain and pleaded with the doctors to terminate the pregnancy, they refused informing her that this was a "Catholic country" and let her die.
