The Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) – Why we’re being kept in the dark

A public discussion forum on the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Programme (TTIP) will be held in the Maldron Hotel, Cork next Saturday, 11th July at 2.00pm.

Organised under the auspices of the left-wing Look Left Magazine, the forum will be an attempt to demystify the proposed agreement between the EU and the United States and outline the very serious implications it will have for workers and consumers if passed.

There has been wide ranging concern expressed by a variety of citizen’s organisations and those concerned with the rights of workers, consumers and citizens about the effect TTIP would have on laws designed to protect those rights.
The forum will be addressed by Éilis Ryan, a Human Rights activist and Workers Party councillor for Dublin’s North Inner City and Barry Finnegan, lecturer and Senior Course Tutor at the Faculty of Journalism & Media Communications at Griffith College, Dublin and a leading voice against TTIP.

All are welcome.
