We continue the publication in episodes of Thierry Meyssan's book, Before Our Very Eyes. Pursuing its neo-colonial dream without taking into account the realities, France is largely disowned by the Syrian People, then sidelined by its US allies before falling victim to its Turkish ally.

At the Redzikowo base in Poland, work has begun on the installation of the Aegis Ashore system, at a cost of more than $180 million. It will be the second U.S. missile base in Europe, after that of Deveselu in Romania became operational in 2015. The official function of these bases is to protect, with the "shield" of SM-3 interceptor missiles, the U.S. forces in Europe and those of European NATO allies from "current and emerging ballistic missile threats from outside the Euro-Atlantic (...)

Following the departure of regular US troops from Afghanistan, Turkey has stepped in to protect the Kabul authorities from the Taliban. Turkish secret services are recruiting 2,000 combatants among the jihadists stationed in the Turkish-occupied area of Syria to send them to Afghanistan. Moreover, Turkish secret services have already resorted to using Syrian-based jihadists in the Libyan war and in the Upper Karabakh conflict. If pulled out from Armenia, the ?Syrian? jihadists are regularly (...)

During a debate in the Upper House, on 5 July 2021, Japanese Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso was quoted as saying: "If a major incident occurs in Taiwan, it's not at all unusual to consider it an existential threat [to Japan]," "In such a case, Japan and the United States will have to work together to defend Taiwan." The legislation that was pushed through in 2015 to amend the Constitution, allows Japan's military to mobilize only if its survival is threatened. The People's Republic of China (...)

At the USA-Russia summit in Geneva (aka ?Yalta II?) held on 6June 6, 2021, the two heads of state, Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin, are said to have laid the foundations for a peace agreement in Ukraine. It would be a question of either recognizing the peculiarities of the Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine or their independence from Ukraine. With this in mind, the representatives of the two self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk are expected to take part in meetings based on the (...)

On 2 July 2021, the Kremlin released its new National Security Strategy (downloadable below), which hadn't been revised in 6 years. Therein, the Kremlin takes into account all types of threats, primarily coming from the United States and its allies. For each one it defines the response to be provided. Conclusion of the ecumenical prayer by Francis Dear brothers and sisters, We assembled today to pray and reflect, impelled by our deep concern for Lebanon ? a country very close to my heart and which I wish to visit ? as we see it plunged into a serious crisis. I am grateful to all the participants for having readily accepted the invitation and for their fraternal sharing.
