In the run up to our 21st birthday celebrations, Anti-Fascist Action Ireland are undertaking a major historical survey of the Irish Far-Right from 1945 – 1991.
screen_shot_20120522_at_20.54.21.png

We are looking for any information on the following organisations or associated individuals:

Ailtirí na hAiséirghe (post 1945)

Council of National Action (1948 - late 1950s)

National Union/Aontas Naisiunta (1950 – 1954)

United Christian Nationalist Party/The Black Legion (1951-1954)

Nationalist Information Bureau Irish contacts (c1951)

Resurgence Magazine (1959)

National Social Union of Ireland (1962 – mid 1960s)

Irish National Youth (c1963)

National Movement (c1968 – c1972)

National Socialist Irish Workers Party (1968 – c1987)

Social Action Initiative (1986 – 1988)

Celtic Dawn/Blood & Honour (c1989 – c1991)

These may include newspaper clippings, photos, fascist literature or general anecdotes. We are also interested in any information on Fascist/anti-Semitic attacks, international Fascists who visited or lived in Ireland or any related information.

We are particularly interested in accounts of anti-Fascists opposition or indeed from any reformed fascists who want to tell their story.

Our aim is not to exaggerate the influence of Ireland’s Fascist groups but to draw up an accurate, historical timeline.
