40th Anniversary of the Dublin and Monaghan bombings - public event in Monaghan

Commemorative public event in Monaghan to show solidarity with the victims and survivors of the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings

I am pleased to say that there will an event in Monaghan this Sunday, along with Saturday's events in Dublin, to commemorate the Dublin and Monaghan bombings of 1974 and the public are most welcome to stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and injured survivors by attending this commemorative ceremony.

2.30 pm Wreath-laying ceremony at the Memorial, Church Square

Wreaths will be laid by the Cathaoirleach of Monaghan Town Council, the Mayor of Monaghan County Council & Justice for the Forgotten;

Inter-denominational Pray Service;

Author, Evelyn Conlon will deliver an address;

Music and song will be provided by Eamonn Curran, uilleann piper; Ciarán Warfield and Emer Fox.
