The BBC's Director of Comedy wants to "save the sitcom". But the sitcom is only endangered because most of them stopped being funny. As To the Manor Born reminds us, British comedy has lost its class, says Finlay McLaren.

offsite link Thank Lockdowns for the Worst Budget in History Sat Nov 22, 2025 13:00 | Will Jones
We're a week away from the most painful Budget in history thanks largely to the eye-watering cost of lockdown. Yet Baroness Hallett says next time the Government must be ready to go harder and faster. This is insanity.

offsite link Taxpayers Are Charged for the BBC Whether They Like it or Not Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:00 | Charlotte Gill
It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

Iosaf,,,

for those of us for whom net time is a luxury.
can you put some point on those links.
I haven't time to read them.

Sure oil spills are terrible and thanks for the info. (I'd like a move away from oil to improve both the environment and chances of peace)
but my priority right now is the war and the PNAC plans.

Any of those links relevant to the Iraqi moves to trading Oil in EUROs not DOLLARs which would have a scary potential for US trade?
(Oil producing countries that get paid in U$ Dollars will spend those $ to buy goods, this reinforces the US Imperial economy)

I don't like the idea of a EURO empire either but am interested in the impact changing currencies can have on an empire.

being daily under the camaras of the Governemnt and Council laying encampment siege to the Spanish authorities is difficult.
now with Opus Dei dressed up for the worlds TV p`rancing around the streets, we do go a bit silly.

the above is our agenda.
NUNCA MAIS.
was not just an oil spill.
There is also a proven coinnection between meteor falls and shifts in pandemic viruses.
sounds silly but is proven.
and for Easter I just want to relax and switch off.
enjoy your internet time.
