![]() post election left green alliance to campaign on issues such as Nice treaty, anti globalisation and other issues. We will soon know if the many people on the left who possess the psysic ability to predict the future are correct in their predictions about sinn fein joining a coalition government with fianna fail. In any case we will see if sf actively opposes globalisation and continues to campaign against the emerging EU superstate with its ever growing security tentacles, or will they behave like the (fake socialist) labour party and become respectable part of the establishment. I make no predictions at this point as this newswire is already full enough of predictions and statements, which are so outlandish that they are unlikely to ever materialise. Such kind of statements just serve to make many ordinary people very scepical. In any case it is positive that 2 right wing pro Nice referendum parties and coalition bedfellows Labour and fianna geal have been chastised and weakened by the voters in this election, and 2 parties which played a good role in defeating Nice 1 namely the Greens and sinn fein have been greatly strenghtened. Also it is good to see Joe Higgins back. It looks like the swm are still unelectable, as they have a nutty image with the public, it is a pity that they deliberately destroyed the socialist alliance which contained many independent activists and trade unionists. This alliance also did good work in the Nice referendum and had potential if the nuts in the swp had not strangled it at birth for purely selfish swp party gain. What chance I wonder for creating a left green alliance which would include sf the greens and independent activists to campaign against globalisation, Nice etc? or is this too visionary in this country? |
