Using humour to get media coverage A lot of people can be put off by the violence that can erupt at some of these demonstrations. In contrast the front of the Irish Times on Tuesday shows a woman on at the RTS event dancing with an ice cream in one hand and 2 gardai laughing - more of this type of thing I say!! I think the humourous side of these events could be enhanced. Street theatre or performance etc is great and I know it has been done before |

Yes humour works but its hard to crack a joke to a pig when he's cracking your head open with a baton.
i'd like to see the black block with matching black umbrellas perhaps, lots more musicians and maybe another samba band too. more carnivalesque masks too please.
however, the guy with the beard and the big cooking pot who caught water and threw it back at the garda was fantastic
I agree and think that humor is a good way to protest, and in most of the cases much more productive.
By the way the person who had the snorkle and arm bands and was swimming in front of the water cannons, was battoned three times just for that reason.
