Jump To Comment: 1On the subject of inclusiveness, Maysfield leisure centre had a unique atmosphere in that many of the sports clubs using it, were inclusive towards people with disabilities, ethnic minorities and pensioners.
Maysfield Taekwando club regularly taught people with downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, people of all varying levels of physical and mental ability regardless of age, from the very young to pensioners.
Unlike some martial arts clubs who may have high athletic standards and ability and cater for the athletically/intellectual elite but have no time or tolerence for the old or disabled.
Martial arts Clubs at Maysfield personified the true essence, inclusiveness and spirit of martial arts, as practiced by people like Bruce lee.
