Meeting: future of Dissent & Dublin Grassroots Network

category dublin | anti-capitalism | event notice author Wednesday August 03, 2005 11:02author by Dissent Ireland Report this post to the editors

Also meeting about G8 prisoner support

2pm, St Nicholas of Myra Hall, Francis St, Dublin 8: Following the G8 summit mobilisation in July, where now for Dissent Ireland? And what of the Dublin Grassroots Network? Should they continue in their present forms? The meeting will also discuss prisoner support arising from the G8 protests.

To get to St Nicholas of Myra Hall, go along Francis St from Thomas St, when you see a grand piano hanging on the wall of a building on the left, turn right into a street called Carman's Hall and it's immediately on the right.
If weather is good, the meeting will be outdoors.
It is planned to have some sort of social event nearby afterwards.

After the meeting there will be a "social" in the very nearby Liberty Belle. Upstairs. Where people went after the Grassroots Gathering in April. The space comes free. If the group is more than 40, free finger food will be provided, Wahoo! (some of which will be vegan (chips)).
Donations at the door will go to G8 prisoner support.

"Social" will probably just be drinks from 5 or 5.30pm in the Liberty Belle. Either in the bar or upstairs in the special room, whatever we sort out with Mr Liberty when the time comes, depending on our numbers.
