This is a public interest story about a complete failure of governance and management at UCC.
Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!
This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".
According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.
People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.
AI Reach: Gemini Reasoning Question of God Sat Aug 02, 2025 20:00 | Mind Agent Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.
Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza
Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support
With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza
China?s CITY WIDE CASH SEIZURES Begin ? ATMs Frozen, Digital Yuan FORCED Overnight Wed Jul 30, 2025 21:40 | 1 of indy This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty
A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed. The Saker >>

Unless you're dead you've probably all heard about how shittty Irelands health service is. Our minister for health has her own 'Mary Harney Suite' (it's a corridor full of trolleys) in Tallaght hospital. A decade of unprecedented economic growth has proved that throwing money at a problem won't make it go away. So what’s the answer I hear you say? Well.....a doctors strike if we are to believe the evidence.
Whenever there has been a doctor’s strike, deaths rates have nearly always decreased. In Columbia 1976 when doctors went on strike for 52 days, the death rate dropped by 35%. In 1976 in LA, deaths dropped by18% when doctors went on strike, ironically, to protest against malpractice insurance premiums. The same thing happened in Israel in 1973. The strike lasted a month and according to the Jerusalem Burial Society, the Israeli death rate dropped 50%. The only other time there had been such a decrease in mortality rates was 20 years earlier when there was another strike.
Do no harm" used to be the mantra of the medical profession yet in the US medical intervention is the 3rd leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer. Almost 250,000 people die every year in the US due to iatrogenesis. Figures for iatrogenic deaths in Ireland are, conveniently, not collected.
The figures for deaths break down as
195,000 deaths due to hospital error, 106,000 negative effects of drugs, 80,000 infections in hospitals, 20,000 other errors in hospitals and 7,000 medication errors in hospitals.
With figures like these you can't really blame people for turning to alternative medicine. The recent revelations about Dr. Michael Neary carrying out hundreds of unnecessary operations involving sawing pelvises and removing wombs on unsuspecting women and the proceeding cover-up have confirmed alot of people belief about the attitude of those in the Irish health service.
A major reason for the high numbers of deaths by medical intervention is the privatisation of health care, especially in the US. The last thing a health system run for profit wants is an outbreak of good health. Privatisation often means that doctors are overworked and the last thing you want is some tired, broken person giving you drugs or operating on you. It also means that “non-profitable” activities such as the cleaning of wards are often neglected leading to an increase in hospital infections. In Irelands case, it's largely down to bureaucracy, poor management and lack of proper investment.
One of the more worrying developments is the over-prescription of drugs. Pharmaceutical companies spend millions developing drugs, money that has to be recouped. In order to sell drugs drug companies have been caught lying about test results and giving "donations" to both politicians and the medical profession. The Journal of The American Medical Association states that prescription drugs kill over 100,000 people a year in US hospitals. Patients suffering from adverse drug reactions take one in seven hospital beds up. The US congress passed a law to prevent parents of autistic children from suing pharmaceutical companies over childhood vaccines said to cause brain damage.
In America, one person dies every 3 minutes from due to side effects of approved legal drugs. This is almost 5 times the numbers who die each year from illegal drugs.
Doctors are increasingly becoming drug pushers themselves. In Australia drug companies spend on average $10,000 per year per doctor marketing their drugs. Drug companies offer medical students gifts, free trips to "conferences", and free "educational material," which is basically propaganda on that drug company's products all of which leads to a massive over prescription of drugs.
The practice can be most clearly seen in the treatment of non-chemically related depression (depression not caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain). The causes of non-chemically related depression have traditionally been the death of a loved one, divorce, separation, breakdown of the family, financial problems etc yet the medical profession often treats this type of depression with drugs. The idea that social and economic problems can be treated with drugs is the drug companies dream scenario - life’s problems can be solved by taking a pill. Unfortunately the FDA has shown that antidepressants such as Prozac Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, and Lexapro can actually increase the likelihood of suicide. Known side affects can include anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, impulsivity, severe restlessness and mania. The FDA states that antidepressant-induced behaviours is often "identical to that of PCP, methamphetamine and cocaine"—drugs known to cause aggression and violence.
The Neary case has shown once again that irish society has had an unquestioning acceptance of authority and to some extent still does. The abuse of kids in state instituitions, paedo priests, corrupt politicians and the likes of Neary were allowed to happen because people were afraid to speak out. Those that did speak out where people lower down on the food chain and were ridiculed, ostracised or dismissed as cynics for their efforts.
If Milgrim has thought us anything it's the idea that "doctor knows best" or anyone in authority or with a suit knows best should always to questioned and challenged. Cynics of the world unite.

Jump To Comment: 1 2I remember this from the Neary thread a couple of weeks back. I agree that medicine in Ireland is becoming far to pharmaceutically based, especially in the treatment of depression.TBH the problem I see is there really isnt enough doctors etc to spend time with patients and hence giving out drugs is both time effecient and easier for doctors.I think if there was a large increase in the number of places in medical schools with also an interview along with the points system, alot of the Irish health system problems would be over.We would have more doctors, surgeons etc and hopefully they would be more caring and not so academmically focussed
I see the government have dropped the ball yet again.
