Jordan Peterson should make his mind up about Christianity, critics say. Prof James Alexander disagrees: he's a profound Jungian explorer who wants to help a secularised world see why Christianity still matters.

The rich milking the poor.

The friends of Fianna Fail are looting this country.

I'm sick of hearing our politicians constantly claiming credit for the great Celtic Tiger. The people who have benefited the most from our economic success are the people who were already well off...mostly from being pals with Fianna Fail. The people who really created our Tiger are the people who you see at 7.00 am jockying for position at Newlands Cross and other bottlenecks on their way to work long hours to pay outrageously high mortgages as a result of our governments failure to create a reasonably level playing pitch. Some of us have known for years the reason for that failure...our politicians were busy taking money from builders and other business interests to maintain the balance in favour the said business people. This enables the well heeled to live in
opulance in their ivory towers when they are not parading their vulgar trinkets in each others faces in places like the Ryder Cup.
Contrast this with the recent problems encountered by people who had reached the age of entitlement for the Old Age Pension...they were informed that there would be a 14 week delay in paying out due to the 'tired old excuse' ...computer problems.
And what about people who are on low wages...and there are many...and others who are old and or sick being treated to a few nights on a trolly in the squallor of our A&E departments like what this old woman endured...see link.
And now having to listen to Shifty Ahern going on television to make limp excuses for taking money from wealthy and influencial people because he was in dire financial straights is stretching logic to the limit.
Don't forget that Shifty was in the thick of political corruption and sculduggery back when Charlie Haughey was presiding over the looting of this countryand later claimed to be unaware of what was happening...DOES ANYONE REALLY BELIEVE THIS CRAP?
Basic logic...which seems to have emmigrated from Ireland years ago...would lead anyone to believe that he had to know and if he didn't know, how the hell did HE become the leader of the Irish Nation.
The worst of it is that if the present government falls, we are going to have have to fish around in a barrel of galoots to find replacements.
If there was ever a blatent axample of the wealthy and influencial manipulating weak politicians to effectively take mean advantage of the rest of us...this is it.
