Stop Violence Against Women.

category dublin | crime and justice | opinion/analysis author Tuesday October 10, 2006 18:10author by Missing Report this post to the editors

The Mother Found in a Burnt Out Car had been Attacked.

She was a young mother of an eight year old boy.
She was black.
She ran a food market in the city centre.
The report of an attack and kids leaving the scene of her attack was called in at 4.37am.

Communities need to make the kids own to what they have done to the woman and
her family.
This is the second such violent attack on a car which was occupied.
Two children were severely burnt in the Moyross area recently.
Their family home has been attacked recently.

Social exclusion has reached a new level of low in this instance.

Kids in deprived areas are daily witnessing the violence of corruption, greed and lies
endemic in this state.

There is a level of social exclusion and poverty that is harming a generation.

Differentness is perceived as threatening and something which should be resisted
and attacked.

State education is deprived of teachers in a two- tier system that leaves communities
with no fight-back or resources for the kids.

Most inmates in state prisons are treated lower than animals.

The crime problem will not be solved by diverting funds into specious projects such as
Thornton Hall.

Some one in these communities needs to make these children to own to the crime
of assaulting and murdering a woman in her car.

People need to agigtate for resources for their children.

People need to agigtate for education about violence against differentness
be it sex/race/religion/sexual orientation.

One child has lost his mother.
Two to three kids are now dealing with the guilt of this crime.
At least four families are affected by what happened last night and this morning.

'Missing' was attacked by a gang of fourteen year olds in Clondalkin
six months ago. Throwing stones - the attack was unprovoked.
There were kids on the street corners lighting fires against the walls.
hurling rocks against passer-bys.
Shouting abuse.

The situation with violent crime against a person provoked because of perceived
differentness has not been as bad in this country since the ghettoisation
of deprived areas in the eighties and the deaths through solvent abuse and joy-riding.

ENOUGH.

Jesus, first you suggest that local kids kill this woman, then you say its not their fault, its "de governments" fault for not doing enough on their behalf. Unreal. Having a bad upbringing, or growing up in poverty may excuse some things, but never a crime like that. Disgusting.

Maybe you think "crime" is too outdated, pejoritive and judgemental a word to use in the case of the poor unfortunates who did this?

What utter nonsense is this moron talking about. Sorry I am not normally given to personal abuse but in this case I must make an exception. Is this person group called 'Missing' (more like missing a few brain cells) seriously trying to assert that the unfortunate lady found dead in her burning car in the North City Centre was there as the result of arson and assault?

How on earth have you arrived at that conclusion Missing? Were you there? Have you conducted a substantial investigation into this incident?

If you have some knowledge of this terrible occurrence that has somehow eluded the police well then I would urge you to go to them.

If not, stop spreading false rumours.

And spare us your social commentary, if you could call it that.
