The Politics of Policing

category national | crime and justice | press release author Monday February 12, 2007 17:15author by Pádraig - James Connolly Debating Societyauthor email connollysociety at gmail dot com Report this post to the editors

Discussion pamphlet launched

The James Connolly Debating Society have published the written submissions from their extensive debates on the issue of policing in the occupied six counties.

Available through email connollysociety@gmail.com or the next meeting of the James Connolly Debating Society, Thursday 22nd February at 7.30pm in the Felons' Club, Falls Road, Belfast.

The publication has been distributed widely to political activists the length and breadth of Ireland, and James Connolly Debating Society chairperson Ciarán Ó Brolcháin said: "This pamphlet is being published in the spirit of comradely debate, for republicans and socialists to read, use and propagate.

"It is only one of the outworkings of, not the conclusion to, a republican analysis of the policing issue. The James Connolly Debating Society will continue to play its part in tackling the topics confronting the people of Ireland, with the help and contribution of all interested individuals and groups."
