No I mean Indymedia Ireland is being bombarded with, frankly, the most ludrciously childish propaganda by you and others mary. There is no attempt to even try and bring across the other point of view.

It's perpetual consistent, tiresome and an abuse of Indymedia's newswire. It's propaganda, lies, and tedious and it's a cancer on Indymedia.

The extract below is from israelfightback.com- clearly a source of quality reading material:

Given that most of these articles are complete, non-excerpted cut-n-paste jobs and indymedia.ie has had a stated policy of removing that type of thing before then what's the problem with removing them? If the spammers want to post on indymedia.ie then they need to excerpt the article thus:

Yes, censorship is the great and notorious danger. That I could not condone.

Also, to effectively counter this form of lying agitation-propaganda, one must be exposed to it somewhat, but not necessarily flooded into oblivion.

I have seen this all over IMC and similar open forums, and do wonder to myself sometimes as to what extent the spamful energies of 'Mary' and cohorts have already been sucessfully automated.

The technology is surely no problem to anyone with the means and motivation, something which I'm quite sure the Lawless State of Israel possesses in spades. For the cost of just one nuclear-armed submarine less, ... why it could probably just buy the whole damned Internet!?!

So here is my suggestion - bundle all the nutbag spam supporting and justifying the lawless and reckless behaviour of the Sharonist Junta in Israel into one prominently linked permanent page with an expandable thread-like structure.

That way anyone interested in going in there to check it out, or refute their 'arguments' will be able to do so, no censorship need occur, and the newswire will be freed up for serious contributions.

Bundling it all into one area called "Isreali spam" would be the solution.

However, this is probably a temporary solution: consider the motivations of the Israeli trolls. They want to disrupt and discredit indymedia because they are afraid of the effect of criticism of Israel. So they have two main possible strategies:
1. Make indymedia unusable by automated spamming.
2. Post anti-Semitic, hate-literature that can be used as a stick to beat indymedia with.

The latter strategy was pursued by AKdH against Indymedia Switzerland who used lawsuits to shut them down. Interestingly indymedia suisse had implemented Black Pope's "spam area" into which they put anti-Semitic and anti-Arab garbage.
