Jump To Comment: 2 1That would probably be GSG 9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSG_9 which for constitutional reasons is a part of the police, rather than military, but fufills a SAS style counter terrorist role.
Further police repression today as the forces of lawlessness and disorder are granted a licence to fire plastic bullets at the protesters.
The numbers at the various demonstrations today were down as people are laying preparations for the commencement of the mass blockades which begin tomorrow-tonight..
Arrests have been numerous throughout the day with many protesters being nicked for HAVING BANDANAS in their bags.No kidding.
Earlier the police refused to let a 1000 strong rally at the HQ of Caterpillar go ahead unless every demonstrator showed their ID to the cops and had their details recorded.
The German private media are stirring up horror headlines like "will they kill us all?" with a picture of a black-blocer defending him-herself from police attack with stones while the public media are a lot more sympathetic, focusing on the immense, and I mean uber-immense repression of the demonstrators every move.
The armed forces have also been called in(special unit nine or something they are called) and they have been flying a fighter jet over the massive Reiddilich camp several times today along with the omnipresent two helicopters that buzz over our heads twenty four hours a day.
Preparations are going well with the decentralsied sttructure taking effect nicely and meetings happening all over the sites.
We will see what tomorrow brings.
Over and out.
Solidarity!
