offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

The Case Against the EU Lisbon Treaty.

category cork | eu | event notice author Saturday January 12, 2008 19:53author by Joe Moore - Socialist Workers Partyauthor email mapuche at eircom dot netauthor phone 087-2994796 Report this post to the editors

Public Meeting Cork.

The Socialist Workers Party will host a public forum outlining the case against the EU Lisbon Treaty on Thursday 31st January in the Victoria Hotel, Cork at 8.00pm. Speaker Kieran Allen, author of "The Corporate Takeover of Ireland"

The French NO vote in 2005 terrified the ruling class across Europe and now they wait anxiously on the Irish vote.Party leaders Bertie Ahern, Enda Kenny, Eamonn Gilmore and John Gormley have assured them that everything will be allright on the day.
But if the lessons of the French referendum are quickly learnt there could be another resounding NO.
The first is that the way to win is to fight from the left. Irish debates on the EU have focused for too long on "national sovereignty" and defending De Valera's constitution of 1937. The NO campaign should not try to re-take that rhetoric.
Instead over the next few months, the campaign needs to go to postal workers to show how the EU postal directive will affect their jobs. It should remind the families of Aer Lingus workers how the EU was used to privatise the national airline. It should alert everyone to the dangers posed to public services by the philosophy of a "free, undistorted market". It should mobilise the anti-war movement to oppose the EU battle groups and not be taken in by talk of "humanitarian missions" which are a cover for power grabs.
By tapping into this enormous well of resentment and resistance, a powerful movement can be built to challenge the elite.
Among the major changes the Lisbon Treaty will bring are;
A requirement on member states to increase military spending. Article 27-3 states that" member states shall undertake progressively to improve their military capabilities".
A legal requirement forcing member states to make troops available for EU battle groups (article 27-3)
A fast track system whereby the Commission can conduct negotiations with agencies such as the World Trade Organisation on the premise of promoting a)"the achievement of uniformity in measures of liberalism"
b)the "progressive abolition of restrictions on international trade and on foreign direct investment" article 188.
In practice this implies a greater push towards privatisation and globalisation that will become binding on member states.
The more formal creation of an EU state which has its own distinct "legal personality".
Greater use of Qualified Majority Voting to give the EU more"competencies" over member states..
Thanks to the legal actions of Raymond Crotty, the Irish people are the only people who can vote on these hugely important issues.
We should exercise that vote on behalf of the whole people of Europe.

Kieran Allen has written a new guide to the EU Lisbon Treaty and will put the case for a NO vote on Thursday 31st January in the Victoria Hotel.

Is it true that the Irish Government is including a clause in the referendum vote that will strip the Irish people of the chance to have any further referendi?
If so we're losing even more then we think with this Lisbon Treaty. We Irish will be of no consequence to the Eurocrats or even our own politicans if we vote yes. We will be nothing more then economic units subject to the whims of Corporate Europe.

VOTE NO

If this is your approach then it's dead in the water before you even start, just like the left. As for "De Valera's constitution" it has served us well for 70 years and is the reason we are the only country out of 27 allowed to vote on this treaty.

I second davekey. We must start campaigning from where the masses of people are, not from our insulated ideological icebergs. Devalera indeed inserted the need for referenda for constitutional amendments, giving citizens the last say. Up Dev!

"Public opinion will be led to adopt, without knowing it, the proposals that we dare not present to them directly" ... "All the earlier proposals will be in the new text, but will be hidden and disguised in some way."

A few more quotes for you:

"The aim of the Constitutional Treaty was to be more readable; the aim of this treaty is to be unreadable... The Constitution aimed to be clear, whereas this treaty had to be unclear. It is a success."
- Karel de Gucht, Belgian Foreign Minister, Flandreinfo, 23 June 2007

"The good thing about not calling it a Constltution is that no one can ask for a referendum on it."
- Giuliano Amato, speech at London School of Econmics, 21 February 2007

"The rejection of the Constitution is a mistake which will have to be corrected ? If the Irish and the Danes can vote Yes in the end, so the French can do it too."
- V.Giscard d'Estaing, speech at the London School of Economics, 28 February 2006

"the Union is the vanguard of this changing world: it indicates a future of Princes without sovereignty. The new entity is faceless and those who are in command can neither be pinned down nor elected ...I don't think it is a good idea to replace this slow and effective method - which keeps national States free from anxiety while they are being stripped of power - with great institutional leaps...Therefore I prefer to go slowly, to crumble pieces of sovereignty up little by little, avoiding brusque transitions from national to federal power. "

Apparently the Green Party members have supported the NO vote.

the party required a 2/3 majority to support the treaty, if you look at the media- you will see
a disparity between RTE and TV3.
RTE emphasis that the party 'almost did it'.
TV3 say that the constitution matters.

37% of the Greens incl. Pat Mc Kenna voted against.

One silly woman thinks climate change in big red letters is more important than either
debate or basic knowledge on human rights. The Greens need more women
raising the issues-and not the silly easily led types that think that because E Ryan
supports Lisbon, then it must be ok.

its important that equal funding is given and media time to those within the Party
whose opinion would differ with the parliamentary leaders, afterall they were looking at
instituting protections for Gormley and Ryan if they went with FF in the absence of a 2/3
majority= don't believe everything the media spins.
patricia has said that she is a Green and will not leave the party unless she is expelled,
it is important that she is heard and Edward Horgan, on issues of defence.

Only 315 out of 2100 Green Party members voted. A crushing defeat for Gormley and Co!

If a secret ballot had been allowed, as opposed to people having to face down glowering party leadersip and apparchiks, the vote against would have been even more substantial. Still it felt sweet.

I disagree strongly with the previous poster. The Green Party are far from any kind of triumph for the left. The 37% No that the Green Party membership gave is PATHETIC. Not only are the leadership of the Greens utter sell-outs, but so are the majority of the rank-and-file membership. The Green position on the EU was one of their key policies. Many people voted Green because of their opposition to big business dominated Europe. The Green Party membership (not just leaders) have delivered yet another slap in the face to the people that voted for them in the belief that they are in someway opposed to the status quo in society.

The Green fudge on the Lisbon Treaty is not a triumph. The fudge allows Green TDs and Senators to campaign to the Yes side and it will allow the other establishment parties such as FG, FF, PDs and Labour to point to the Greens and say: "Look at those lads, they opposed all other EU treaties but now back this one, now you should do the same". I've no great faith in Patricia McKenna. She supports the FF/PD/GP government and she is still a member of the Green Party. I think the genuine members of the Greens (yes, there are some there among the 37%) should campaign against the Treaty but also campaign against the Government on all issues and LEAVE the Green Party.

Tara, Shell to Sea, Bertie's corruption, Health crisis, Education crisis, privatisation, tax breaks to big business, Lisbon Treaty.... all done with Green Party support. I look forward to giving ye lot a serious ear-bashing if you knock on my door at the next election!

It is rumoured in Europe that many French Socialists are calling for a referendum.

Lets be honest about the greens leadership.

As far as I can tell Greens = Ecofacists.

Isn't Mr Gormley quite fond of incinerators at the moment.

Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The man disgusts me, and It's quite easy to see through his paper thin vail.
