category international | animal rights | opinion/analysis author Wednesday December 09, 2009 00:00author by Thomas Janak - WILD TIME Report this post to the editors

55 minutes interview with Osaka based animal rights activist

PART I

American born Steven Thompson lives in Osaka with his wife and daughter and works as a teacher. He is bery concerned about the killings of dolphins in Taiji as well as the fact that Dolphin meat contains high amounts of toxic mercury especially since Dolphin meat is given to school kids all over Japan.

This full length interview (uploaded in two parts) gives you an insight into the plight of the Dolphins and also explains how activism in Japan works and why it is so different from the Western "In-Your-Face" approach.
