The Strange Death of Knowing Stuff Wed Dec 24, 2025 19:00 | Dave Summers
In his Sixth Form Christmas quiz this year, none of Dave Summers's students could name the author of To Kill a Mockingbird ? previously one of the easy questions. Another sign that wokery is dissolving our culture.

Will Labour Ban Christmas Carols Next? Wed Dec 24, 2025 17:00 | Julian Mann
If Christmas songs fall foul of Labour's 'banter ban', Christmas carols ? with their 'offensive' assertions of the divinity of Christ that are deemed blasphemous by Islam ? are even more likely to, says Julian Mann.

Starmer to Push Britain into Stricter Net Zero Targets Under EU Deal Wed Dec 24, 2025 15:26 | Will Jones
Keir Starmer is preparing to tie Britain to the EU's Net Zero plans in a move that would impose radically stricter 'green' energy targets on homes and businesses, leading to further deindustrialisation and impoverishment.

A Crappy Christmas from Anglian Water Wed Dec 24, 2025 13:17 | Mike Wells
Dumping of sewage into rivers is supposed to happen only 'exceptionally'. But in Odell it occurred for over a third of the year. In Bedford it may be worse ? but the monitoring equipment is broken, says Mike Wells.

Despite undertakings given at the time Biffo has now decided that he is going to rewrite the Croke Park Agreement. This is definitely a foul and its time that Biffo and his cronies were sent off!
The craven ICTU misleaders just sat there and took this latest insult from Biffos messenger boy, Dara Callery.
Come along on 29 September and give Biffo the Red Card!
At the same conference where the ICTU lapdogs didn't bark at Callery a Financier, William Slattery head of financial services company State Street’s Irish business issued his orders to BIffo:
He wants 30,000 public servants to be made redundant and a new lower paid entry level grade for the public service!
These parasites have the neck to go on the attack when we are bailing them out and paying off their bonds!
They have declared Class War on us! Lets declare Class War back on them.
I have great affinity with the thoughts of pat c, but unless the workers rid themselves of ICTU leaders who sat with employers and NODDED to everything that the government proposed - and intended - the public service will be decimated. These, apparently, very sincere ICTU leaders will nod wisely and claim that they've saved many jobs.
Remember - fool me once, your fault - fool me twice, my fault.
So far there has been very little in the media about this protest.
The ICTU site says
... which I guess means they kinda had to call it. It seems half-hearted to me, so it's not worth traveling from the west of Ireland to Dublin. I imagine that the ICTU has considerable media connections, which they don't seem to have used this time.
Perhaps someone could explain why the unions and opposition leaders have not called a general protest that allows everyone to express their anger. Is it they are fear-full of riots?
I think we will be known through-out Europe as a people that are easy to subjugate, as we do not stand up, even to the current madness.
I totally agree with Gordon. The majority of the people I work with or my friends/family outside of work knew nothing about this protest it was so badly advertised. Unless the organisers start advertising these protests properly they will never get the numbers they need to make an impact. As far as I can see it is only some union members that are gettig the information. I am an IMPACT union member and I recieved nothing about this protest or any of the previous protests. I get most of my information from another union entirely because I know one of their members. It's a shame as many people are extremely angry at the moment so the organisers should take advantage of that anger and get bigger numbers by getting the information out there
