In October 2010, a group of Irish volunteers travelled to Kilimanjaro to help work on the School Site.

Early this many. The group arrived at the site. And quickly got organised. Some worked on the roofing of the Administration block while others started to build the new classrooms.

The group moved extremely hard cutting numbers for the raffteers and in the intense heat.

After a few days the roof was ready to be covered with the galvanised sheets.

Others worked tiresly to block build five new classrooms.

Some looked afer the catering as foor breakfast and lunch was served on the site.

It was very important to have good food and water for the workers as the heat was intense.

Everty four or five of the workers headed off in the jeep to visit poor families in the area to see the houses that the charity had already builit.

Some brought rice and beans to families and two of the volunteers decieded to help a family by buying a cow for them.
