Donegal Peace Group are calling on Dongeal TDs, MEPs and Minister Mary Coughlan to work towards an immediate end to the use of Shannon airport by the U.S military. The Irish people have voted on numerous occasions, including during last year’s Nice referendum, to uphold the neutral status of our constitution. Again and again the government has decided to flout the laws of the land by allowing foreign military forces to use Irish airspace and facilities. read full story / add a comment

THIS FRIDAY (August 29th) the Donegal Peace Group will host U.S anti-war activist, Karen Conaghan. The forum will follow the successful night with Nuin Dunlop and Ciaron O'Reilly of the Catholic Worker Movement and Pitstop Ploughshares (http://www.ploughsharesireland.org) and seek to develop ways forward for the local-global alternatives to war,greed, poverty and injustice. ================================================= Following the forum the momentum will gather at the OUTDOOR SOCIAL GATHERING at a natural setting near Donegal Town.
