Some successes at last. The Dutch government has been told by the court to reverse its coronavirus pandemic curfew after The Hague ruled there was no legal basis for it and called it an infringement on people’s rights.

In a statement, The Hague declared that the government's use of the Extraordinary Powers of Civil Authority Act – an emergency act which allows the state to bypass the legislative process to impose a curfew in “very urgent and exceptional circumstance” – was not justified in this case during the Covid-19 crisis. read full story / add a comment

Bury’s Bridge to Carrigtwohill Cycle Route
national / public consultation / irish social forum / press release Thursday February 11, 2021 17:19 by cyclist   image 1 image
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan has allocated €240m to walking and cycling projects, including to low-quality projects which are already designed, and new projects to be designed using old design standards.

This is in stark contrast to the UK where cycling route design guidance was updated before the extra funding was announced and before it was allocated. Funding was linked to higher-standards.

While the cycling infrastructure in the UK is far from perfect, the quality of projects in London and elsewhere has started to far surpass the quality of street changes built in Ireland. The higher standard infrastructure in the UK includes Dutch-style designs which the National Transport Authority has resisted implementing. read full story / add a comment

RiseUp Éireann, It’s time now to take action, peacefully for this social gathering.

RiseUp Éireann invites Everyone to come to this social gathering ...Uniting together, to create solutions to end Lockdown, & to come together peacefully, to celebrate life, claim our Freedom, with artistic expression through Culture & CommUnity.

Please share this event far & wide, invite everyone, help spread the message of Truth...

RiseUp Éireann was created as a response to create Solutions, to navigate the current draconian restrictions, that are being experienced on a worldwide scale.

The Irish Government has brought legislation in that goes against a democratic society, against Irelands constitution and more importantly, for RiseUp Eireann against inalienable human rights. Of which no Government has the right to remove. It’s crimes against humanity, & Tyranny.

We intend to use peaceful methods to express our voices for the type of society we wish to live in.

We do not promote violence and are non political & non religious. Spirituality & connection to God is welcome.

All welcome to Unite with RiseUp Éireann, & our extensive network.

Everyone welcome to be themselves, & to stand in their own beliefs, based on Truth, Integrity, Authenticity & Love.
RiseUp Éireann acknowledges that the world Governments are using psychological and germ warfare, with fear being their main weapon of choice.
We choose Love.

Due to the reluctance and active censorship of alternative narratives to the one they are expounding within their own literature and that of RTE the Governments media propaganda machine, we will utilise whatever means are available to get our message out. RiseUp will peacefully demonstrate through the arts. read full story / add a comment

Hundreds of people opposing the Danish government’s response to the covid-19 pandemic marched through the capital, Copenhagen, in a fresh protest on Saturday.

the protest was organized by the ‘men in black’ group, who are unhappy with Denmark’s partial lockdown and the looming rollout of a digital system which will track vaccinations and issue certificates confirming people’s inoculation status. The passports are to be used for international travel and potentially to give access to public venues in Denmark itself. Plans for a digital vaccine "passport" were a main target of their anger.

Previously back in November there was public outcry an 9 days of protest against similar measures and the government appeared to back done, but this proves governments cannot be trusted. read full story / add a comment

The general problem of culture today is its ability to facilitate and support negative aspects of society through encouraging escapism, diversion and ignorance regarding many important issues of contemporary life, such as economic crises, repressive legislation, poverty, and climate chaos. Or worse still, the use of culture to promote elite views of society regarding power and money, as well as imperialist agendas through negative depictions of a targeted ethnic group or country. read full story / add a comment
