The tragic Baltimore whale circus

and how to prevent this from happening again

'doing nothing' is no option

On the 14th august 2012 my girlfriend and I witnessed the stranding of the whale in Baltimore West-Cork, Ireland.

Disturbed by the unnecessary and horrific death of the whale, I created (as a graphic designer) this website where a
4 step protocol can avoid this tragedy from happening in the future.

Well done for creating the website, Gerard. At a time of apathy, ignorance and downright stupidity, I find little gestures of action like this reassuring for the future of humanity. Your concern and the effort that it motivated is inspiring, if that word hasn't been hoored out to death

The default mode of most punters is one of gawking in wry detachment. The population have been conditioned like this ala The Society of the Spectacle, and Amusing Ourselves to Death.

The authorities on the other hand operate according to the definition of Gombeenism, they know the price of everything but the value of nothing.

I love your graphics, there was a lot of consideration went into the construction of the website. Again, well done. It goes towards educating people on what to do, and raising general awareness.
