British doctors working in Gaza have described the territory as a ?slaughterhouse,? where the patients they are treating are severely malnourished.

Plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists from the UK are based at the Amal and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis in the south of the territory.

Dr. Tom Potokar, a plastic surgeon specializing in burn injuries, has worked in Gaza 16 times but said this mission had revealed a level of destruction far greater than his last visit in 2023,

The short film 'Money As Debt' (50mins) will be shown at 7.00pm, to be followed by a discussion with Cathal Spellman, of Fair Money Ireland, about the issues raised in the film.

This is the first in what is hoped to be a series of events run by the Dublin Social Centre initiative. This particular event is to encourage discussion around financial systems and alternatives.

We will be showing the short film 'Money As Debt' (50mins) at 7.00pm, to be followed by a discussion with Cathal Spellman, of Fair Money Ireland, about the issues raised in the film.

What is the Dublin social centre initiative -
A citizen based, non-political party collective. Our aim is to create a social centre that is a welcoming space. To be run as a co-operative, without any outside control or influence, to encompass everything from political discussion to artistic endeavour.

Funding will be donation based.
It will be a not-for-profit organisation.
structured on a non-hierarchical participatory basis.

Until we have our own location we will endeavour to put on events to stimulate interest in other locations around Dublin.
