Thirty Left-wing MPs have written to Ofcom to press it to censor X under the Online Safety Act. The evidence of 'hate' on the platform is threadbare, but it's obvious why they want to clip its wings, says Laurie Wastell.

Farmers being bought off

According to today's Examiner the State is to use 500m Euros in grants to sell Nice to farmers. They're also going to fast-track cereal payments of 100m Euro frm November to October. An official letter to FF TDs and Senators urges them to use this in their canvassing to encourage a YES vote.

Article goes on to speculate Bertie's going to set the day today.

Maybe someone should tell the IFA to talk to the Poles. They seem to be getting shafted - but I'm sure they'll get loads of nice goodies when its referendum time too.

Aaah - election promises.

Apparently a poll in the next 'Farmers Journal' shows that support for Nice among farmers has dropped 2%. That said it is early on in the campaign and the pro-Nice farming interest groups haven't unveiled their campaigns yet.
Back in '92 the United Farmers Association had an anti-Nice policy that had a bit of an impact, but dunno if they exist to any real extent now. Was a group for smaller farmers, mainly in the West

my young polish, ukranian and russian translating friend informs me that polish farmers are most worried about the impact of German led pig regulations.
Poland presently boasts the most homes under occupation in Europe.
We estimate more than 7,000,000 people live in occupied / squated / rent withheld or arbritation dwelling on the continent.
The polish assemblies of "okupas" have only started to organise in a sense comparative to either London or the Nederlands or indeed Barcelona.
Barcelona where squating is still a criminal offence would be a fairer comparison ´coz its still illegal in Poland to squat a home.
So our feelings are that the poles will vote against by a fine margin.
and we must all do our best to encourage the farmers of Ireland to vote against it too.
