Cyprus is a stop-off not a destination.
It has military airfields on the Island.
(although Turtle Beach in Cyprus was recently used for training for invading Iraq, most of the material probably went onward to Kuwait)

Likewise Italy. Aviano, Sigonella etc...

Notice how many military flights took place on the 18th... the day of the demo!

including an Afghan Airline plane...

notice destinations like Kuwait, Bahrain,
Ramstein (US military HQ in Germany)
and also OFFUTT AFB, home of Strategic air command.
notice that 'civilian companies' like Evergreen are going to military bases in the states and THEN coming back via Shannon..

US NAVY HERC RU 5161 recently seen at Shannon belongs to the same squadron that is taking part in Operation Rhino in Afghanistan...
you can find a pic of RU 5160 (same squadron and type) in Afghanistan if you search for it.

And by the way,

you can compile all this by reading pro war propoganda like stars and stripes.

Looking at your list you guys obviously have not got a clue. There are business jets listed there goint about their daily work. Some of these even come in to Cork so you better get your wigwam down to Cork to protest here. The Afghan plane was being refurbished at shannon and was being returned to afghanistan. what a bunch of prats you are.where were you 15 years ago when flights were using shannon then and all through the 90's. you also managed to get all the trees surrounding the airport cut down. I hope you are pround of that. why dont you do something like pick up the litter around the preimiter fence instead of pissing about like hippies. I have been visiting shannon since the 80's looking at the aircraft and no one questioned what I was up to, Guess what I got my picture taken and was questioned by the airport police and local law - thanks to you prats. why dont you piss of to Knock and set up your beads and bibles shit there. better to be a bad catholic than a muslim any day. fly out to Iraq all together an dsay some prayers out there.

As the title says, couldnt have put it better myself. You really are all prats, and just think, If the US hadnt helped save freedom during world war 2, you probably wouldnt have the freedom to bitch about them today. Hopefully the army at Shannon might stop you vandalising US government property, pity it couldnt knock sense into all of you aswell. May IRAQ be liberated from the manic tyrant that controls it.

Whoever says that the US funded Hitler ideologically is full of shit. The US supported the UK from the outset of the war with the Lend Lease Act. The US had not even declared war on the US but it was still helping the allies. It is totally illogical to think that the US supported Hitler. The only shreds of truth to that statement is that a few american companies were contracted for concentration camps. None of these companies knew about concentration camps untill long after the contracts were completed. Why people will insist that we helped Hitler is insane. It just like Germans and Arabs who beleive that the Holocaust was manufactured by Zionists. I personally dont believe in the war on Iraq but I believe in going about stopping war intelligently, with logic. Obviously its much easier to bitch and moan and demonize the US. You all really are sad individuals.

The aircraft having registration numbers N-379 P arrived from Amman and departed at 2.40 am for the same destination, he said. "I cannot tell you about the nationality and identification of the person handed over to the US men. You should really try and do research before you post such false information. Many Corporate Flights coming over from the United States use Shannon. It provides that first fuel stop for many aircraft flying over the Atlantic. Yes, the United States may be using the airport to transport troops, but if you look a little harder you will see that the majority of your so-called suspicious aircraft are really just business jets caring business passengers. Also if you review the airports that they are traveling to you will see that they are high business traffic areas. Farmingdale, and White Plains NY are major corporate airports. And many corporate aircraft stop in Maine to refuel and clear passengers because their home airport may not have a customs service. In the future please make sure that you do your homework before jumping to conclusions. It only took 30 minutes to blow your story out of the water. Also, after a little help from the Internet I have determined the following about your suspicious aircraft:

N331P- is owned by GSCP Inc. Its a G-IV and was doing one of three things in Maine, fueling, clearing passengers, or disembarking business passengers.

N818LS-is owned by Wells Fargo Bank. Its a Challenger 700, and was probably dropping off business passengers at White Plains.

N601S-is owned by Bistate Oil Inc. Its a Challenger 600 and was dropping off business passengers at Farmingdale.

N80L- is owned by United States Steel Corp. Its a G-II, and due to fuel capacity had to stop in SNN (Shannon) for fuel.

N512C- is owned by AT&T Wireless. It's a G-IV, and due to fuel capacity had to stop in SNN (Shannon) for fuel.

N601DW- is owned by 5099 Holding Inc. It's a Challenger 600 and was doing one of three things in Maine, fueling, clearing passengers, or disembarking business passengers.

N888DH- is owned by Enterprise Inc. Its a Challenger 600 and was doing one of three things in Maine, fueling, clearing passengers, or disembarking business passengers.

N2PG- is owned by Proctor and Gamble. Its a G-IV and due to fuel capacity had to stop in SNN (Shannon) for fuel.

N110HA-is owned by Haworth Transportation. Its a Galaxy and due to fuel capacity had to stop in SNN (Shannon) for fuel.

N765BC is owned by BCC Equipment leasing. Its an MD-90 and was most likely stopping for fuel in Keflavik due to fuel capacity.

N334JC- is owned by Gulfstream Intl. It's a G-IV and due to fuel capacity had to stop in SNN (Shannon) for fuel.

N404AC- is owned by Apache Aviation. Its a G-IV and due to fuel capacity had to stop in SNN (Shannon) for fuel.

Miami Air is a major business Charter Company in the United States.

thanks for your input John but was was false about the report.

Remember that it started with these words...

Most of these are confirmed military flights, others need investigation.

Most of these we KNEW to be troop carriers or military cargo charters, some were suspsicious, and I'd be happy to eliminate anything that was innocent.
Where were you when we needed these checked out?

By the way, you use the word 'probably' a lot in your comment... where's your research.

N765BC did go to Keflavik Naval Air Station...

you say probably for fuel,,, well I don't doubt that they refueled it.

It also went to Bangor in Maine and then to George Air Base in California (according to some of your fellow planespotters)

So on the strength of your 'probably' I wouldn't eliminate that one... thanks for the info on some of the others though. I'm glad somebody posted something about them.

You end by saying that Miami Air may be a charter airline, but so are WORLD, and Miami got a charter contract from the Pentagon... and there's no probably about that... it was on Reed Air Transport Intelligence... unless you think THEY don't do their research....

When Miami were here they always parked in the area of Shannon Airport reserved for military flights. So I'm sure you understand if I don't accept your criticism for including it.

Really, and how do you know that?
Besides the fact that approx 70% of the flights listed are CONFIRMED military flights, either military aircraft or chartered by Air Mobility Command, I made one claim about one business jet (with plenty to back it up) and I have grounds to suspect some of the others, for reasons such as direct observation, fact that they go to military bases.

less than 1 minute of BASIC MATHS would show you that the vast majority of the listed flights are chartered to the US military, no unfounded claims were made about the others.... you call this blown out of the water?

Yeah, but when the original article was published (January 2003) we were still establishing this "accepted fact" in the face of a repeated lies from various representatives of the state to try and pretend it wassn't happening. The activities of the Peace Camp, including articles like this one, did more than anything else to establish what was happening.

The recent interest is due to it's conection with the more recent article linked below about the use of Shannon to transport people to Guantanamo Bay and elsewhere for torture, which the government claim isn't happening.

Please read the articles properly before trolling
