Thank Lockdowns for the Worst Budget in History Sat Nov 22, 2025 13:00 | Will Jones
We're a week away from the most painful Budget in history thanks largely to the eye-watering cost of lockdown. Yet Baroness Hallett says next time the Government must be ready to go harder and faster. This is insanity.

Taxpayers Are Charged for the BBC Whether They Like it or Not Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:00 | Charlotte Gill
It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

Greetings all in Ireland,
First, ignore that ignorant fuck stain upon the jockeyshorts of humanity, so called "irish"american. These "plastic paddies" are usually the very worst bigots that this country produces.
Now that I have that out of the system, please follow the link to twin cities, st paul minneapolis indy media. We put the corporate controlled pro-war media on trial. Please read the charges. They were of course found guilty.
I am one of the organizers of the Counter Propaganda Coalition and the sign, Pro-War Mass Media.. Surrender to the People is mine, although it is not me holding it. I am the "bailiff" reading out the charges.
Keep it up and tell Shannon I said greetings and solidarity
Oh and "irish" american is probably some demorat who supports the government i.e. Billy Bob Clinton that ordered depleted uranium weapons that are now causing mutations of new born Iraqi children. Puts that whole baby burner thing into a whole new catagory eh "irish"
The demorats have absolutely and immorally sold out. They are indeed serving their corporate masters well.......
has been proven in the Italian courts to have been a direct cause of chronic Lung complaints suffered by ex-service NATO personel in the last Balkan conflict.
Depleted Uranium is made at THORP.
Irish Americans are it is true often a bigoted lot.
Depleted Uranium is in the Mediterranean Sea and within thirty years will have circulated all beaches.
The expression that comes to mind is
"shitting on some one else´s doorstep".
This is the end result of US/K foreign policy.
They shit on other´s doorsteps.
best of luck for Feb 15. mike and all non bigoted Americans.
Iosaf, by "proven" I assume you mean "demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt within the constraints of the evidence offered and the time allowed to examine it", or something similar to that; claiming "proof" of something as tenuous and unreliable as the effects of depleted uranium is a generalisation which merely gives ammunition to those who would accuse all independent media ventures of being incapable of rational weighing of evidence.
Apart from that, though, you're right. Just being fussy.
As for international mainstream coverage of direct action at Shannon, there doesn't seem to be much here: http://search.cnn.com/cnn/search?query=shannon&source=cnn_date
We dont expect to see coverage in the New York Times, but what about on Indymedia or Znet in the USA? I believe Some Irish Americans were looking for information on the Nice Referendum on these sites but none was available there.
