We're a week away from the most painful Budget in history thanks largely to the eye-watering cost of lockdown. Yet Baroness Hallett says next time the Government must be ready to go harder and faster. This is insanity.

It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

Anybody got the full list of those that Aer Rianta want to exclude? Are they all peace campers and those in jail, or have other activists being singled out as well?

author by Adampublication date Wed Feb 05, 2003 20:04author address author phone Report this post to the editors

In answer to the above, the order against the people mentioned was not completely dropped - an injunction barring them from trespassing on Aer Rianta land was made but all the rest (including spurious claims for damages) was dropped.

The list of people being injuncted is fairly random and even includes someone who only delivered a bag of spuds! while leaving out some people closely associated with the camp
