Current situation of the three mates imprisoned in Valencia.

After almost 4 month of preventive imprisonment, when after approximately
at two month in jail a strict regime called FIES was applied over them and
after the High Provincial Court pronounced against the freedom of the
imprisoned mates, the relatives and their fellows continue waiting that
the Audiencia Nacional (the High National Court in charge of terrorist
"crimes") pronounces about the case, stopping this psychological torture
that are suffering our imprisoned mates, their families, and their
friends. Meanwhile we wait the pronunciation of the Audiencia Nacional, new
repressive measures have been applied against this prisoners, with a more
strict FIES regime than usually (FIES is a especial control regime).
The fact of being a prisoner impedes of several things.
Usually the things that a relative can bring to a prisoner are: clothes,
books, music tapes (transparent ones), letters, and not too much else. The
other stuff they need they have to buy it at the prison's shop. That's is
not very cheap and its a business inside the jail. You cannot give paper
for writing to the prisoners because they can buy it there.

The day in prison basically is composed of courtyard, gym, lunch and
dinner, workshops and classes. You have to apply for everything and wait
for a permission, excepting the lunch and the dinner, of course. Since they
are in FIES all has changed: The prison removed the option to go
to classes or workshops, only remaining the courtyard time, the gym and
the meals. The friends are not allowed to visit them without an
authorization from Madrid, thing that slows the stream of visits. That
means that since the last month until march only the relatives are able to
visit them. And the relative's visit is also being repressed, with the
question of
personal data and ID every call, with restrains for the communication
permissions, even disauthorizing the visit of any relative. All the letters
are intercepted, read and censored, with a delay of the process that could
be of a month.

The last repressive fact applied over our partners are the night visits to
the cells. Since some days ago they are visited every our by warders who
spy them by the window, just for check that everything is in "order".
This lack of respect to this person's intimacy has been denounced by the
same prisoners.

>From here we want to denounce not only the non justified and excessive
remaining of this three guys in jail, we want to denounce the application
of the FIES regime which tortures and makes more inhuman the life in
prison. It shows the true face of the penitentiary system, far away of the
false pretended rehabilitation goal.
We denounce this political and juridical mount, with the close
collaboration of the media. It doesn't finish with the imprisonment of
this three guys, it includes a criminalization of all social movements
that are critical with the system.
