Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!
This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".
According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.
People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.
AI Reach: Gemini Reasoning Question of God Sat Aug 02, 2025 20:00 | Mind Agent
Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.
Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza
Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support
With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza
China?s CITY WIDE CASH SEIZURES Begin ? ATMs Frozen, Digital Yuan FORCED Overnight Wed Jul 30, 2025 21:40 | 1 of indy
This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty
A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

British TV Comedy Has Lost its Class Sat Nov 22, 2025 17:00 | Finlay McLaren
The BBC's Director of Comedy wants to "save the sitcom". But the sitcom is only endangered because most of them stopped being funny. As To the Manor Born reminds us, British comedy has lost its class, says Finlay McLaren.

Thank Lockdowns for the Worst Budget in History Sat Nov 22, 2025 13:00 | Will Jones
We're a week away from the most painful Budget in history thanks largely to the eye-watering cost of lockdown. Yet Baroness Hallett says next time the Government must be ready to go harder and faster. This is insanity.

Taxpayers Are Charged for the BBC Whether They Like it or Not Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:00 | Charlotte Gill
It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

I only hope that it at last heralds a new era for the whole student movement. It time for us to get invovled in society and for us as students to start shaping the world we live in.
Congrad's to the new UCDSU team.
John C
How about a healthy dose of cynicism, or realism. All my years as a student I have not once noticed the SU being in anyway politically effective. Now this is not their fault as they are set back by college authorities who hold the real reigns of power. However the small mindedness and selfishness of the issues that SU officials are willing to take on board is unbelievable. They focus solely on free fees and nothing else it really is a case of where it hits my pocket and let the rest of you be damned. I predict much apathy to useless politics and no change. All politicians are the same in it to further their careers and I doubt these bunch of bandwagoners are different.
Well done! You have given Education to a Trot who will use his position to ram the SP line down students throats.
He will take his direction from the SP Politburo and you will hear from SP platforms how UCDSU support the right of the Orange Order to march down the Garvaghy Road.
Seeing as he had to bus most of his campaign workers in from the outside, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of personation took place.
I think I'll take next academic year off.
"Angrier Activist" is obviously the kind of fuckwit who would prefer to see a Fine Gaeler (the other candidate) as Education officer than a committed socialist activist.
Congratulations to the three CFE activists (one Labour, one Socialist Party, one unaffiliated) who won their positions. This should only be the start of a fight to reclaim the students union.
Angrier activist, you are a negative, provo, wanker.
Fuck off.
So, now if you support the people of the Garvaghy Road, you are a provo. The Section 31 mentality is alive and well in the 'Socialist' Party.
Is Eoghan Harris one of your back room boys?
The section 31 mentality?
What drugs are you on knob?
Its the mentality which used to be endemic in the Sticks. Anyone who in any way questioned the actions of the British or criticised loyalists was immediately denounced as a provo.
Its happened on Indymedia.ie quite often. If you disagree with the SP line on the north you are 'anti Protestant'.
Time to show a little unity. As has been previously stated: would you prefer a Fine Gaeler to a member of SY in the SU. Now besides the fact that the SU is usually shit perhaps now that some decent activists have gotten in it is time to once more politicise students. Well I'll live in optimism and ignore the general sense of apathy among students on issues that don't affect em. Sure fight the fees but who gives a fuck if it don't mean I can't get another round! Though apparantely apathy is good for democracy. Maybe that's what you want to see. Not me. Now I will wait for the newly elected SU to do some decent work before I shell criticisms at them.
The election for the Education Vice President isn't totally completed yet! it's still to go to a re-count, however being ahead by over 1.5% of the total vote on the last count should be enough.
I think that the results of the UCD elections show that there is a clear shift to the left among students. Paul Murphy, Paul Dillon, Aidan Regan and myself all received votes on the basis of the work we have done on the issue of fees, and the desire of students to have a SU that will fight on fees, grants, accomadation etc. This year should see cut-backs and the possible re-introduction of fees in some form. Students will be expecting our SUs to step up the fight on fees and to seriously challenge the government.

Kelly, Oisín SP 1949 46.75%

No candidate reached the quota on the second count, as there are only two candidates remaining Oisín Kelly is deemed elected as UCD Students' Union Education Vice President.
What a disaster! A minority of a minority of the students in Belfield who voted have put trotskites and socialists in 'charge' of their affairs. Which means only one thing. They will f**k it up for all the students in UCD, including the large majority who didn't vote for any of the trot/socialist candidates. It does prove one thing though. The vast majority of students, not just in UCD are decent law abiding people who don't want any truck with you rabble rousers.
You sound like a past president of UCD. FFer I'd say!
what? Law abiding blah blah
If you knew anything about UCD or most colleges in fact ud know that the majority of people in UCD are rich kid apathetic idiots, either jock piss-heads or orange make-up caked freaks. They prefer to talk about themselves or go to the student bar and start fights than to think for two minutes about anything but trivial crap.
Luckily some people are waking up and seeing that the education system and the Student union could do with a change and electing some decent candidates such as Paul Dillon and Aden Regan. And Oisin i reckon will keep them as left as possible, not like the pro-life wench in welfare or the idiot in Ents. I think they'll make a great team.
If there was a change in government and Labour were elected with or without FF would Dillon and Reagan be against fees if they were introduced by that government. I have a feeling that they wouldn't, Labour are taking a left turn all over the place particularly in the colleges. This is the case in my own college in Galway. So I think UCD students should just be carefull before they start believing that all has changed, it may be the case that you have simply swapped one shower for another. I hope this isn't the case, but students must now get active and push these people as far left as they can go.
Paul Dillon joined labour because he was a leftie, not the other way round. Aiden isnt in any political party. If Labour came into power and began to turn right wing, a la new labour, my bets would be that Paul would leave the party.
"Paul Dillon joined labour because he was a leftie"
Can anyone else see the contradiction in this statement? Labour are not a left wing party they are a capitalist party. They have continually sold out and will in the future. Unless Dillon is completely niave I'm sure he has seen this.
"(if they) began to turn right wing"
Surely this turn has happened already. Are you completely divorced from real politics out there in UCD.
