offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Irish family abuse.

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday April 16, 2003 04:47author by Caspian Report this post to the editors

How come my article on 100 years of child abuse in Ireland was deleted? It was somewhat tongue in cheek but it is more relevant to Irish society than anything that is happening in Iraq. Did it touch a raw nerve with some of the commitee that decides what can be published on this so-called open forum?

Independent media, my arse. You lot decide what stays on this forum. Anything slightly politically incorrect will be deleted. Anything controversial will not last longer than ten minutes. You are no more independent than the Murdoch Press. You decide what is printed, not us.

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

If you feel strongly about something, you can do what I did with my essay THE ROAD TO BALLYSEEDY CROSS, which is still on the indymedia site. However, I'm not depending on them. I've sent that essay all over the world as a plain text email, and it has reached the right people already.

I think they have a point
by Josef Wed, Apr 16 2003, 8:01am

As I understand it, the purpose of this site is to provide a source of news which is independent of political/financial pressure. I think the fouders intended this to be the Reuters of free thinking people with the scoops provided by eyewitnesses and amateur or freelance journalists voluntarily publishing their stories. However, not a lot really happens in Ireland these days. BTW is there an indymedia Iraq?

Indymedia should consider translating some of the stories from South American Indymedia and other countries where bad stuff happens all the time - set up a sort of world headlines page in the major world languages.

I'm sure there's loads of places to publish jokes.

I vote to re-instate Caspian's article on 100 years of child abuse in Ireland. I'd be interested to see it.

Why exactly was it deleted? Editing is not an easy job for sure; somewhat thankless, even. But a good editor goes lightly with the scisors and excercises his authority with diplomacy and discretion.

Particularly interesting to me is the unreported parental abuse of children in the wake of the hysteria over non-parental child abuse. It is as if, somehow, parental abuse is a permitted pleasure.

There is also, of course, the killing and maiming of children by aerial bombardment as practised by the anglo-american military in Iraq. This particular form of abuse, however, entails no pleasure, and is therefore perfectly permissable.

while we are on the topic of Deletion, why, exactly, do the editors delete any article or comment that bears any reference whatsoever to zionist imperialism. Surely it is something that needs to be discussed.
(sorry i know this has nothing do do with child abuse)

I did track down that site for deleted articles, but it only showed a truncated version of Caspian's contribution. From reading that truncated version, I would suggest too that Caspian's article should be reinstated. I also hope that my contribution, THE ROAD TO BALLYSEEDY CROSS, an essay prompted by the start of the present war, and connecting with a shameful memory which is still contaminating Irish society, will not be deleted either. Let's have freedom of expression around here, or else what the hell are we doing here?
Will somebody please send me a complete copy of Caspian's article...

Most articles are deleted for being crossposts. In recent weeks, there's also been a rash of anti-semitic comments and articles, and they've also been deleted (along with any other racist or sectarian posts).

Note - criticism of Israeli policies does not equal anti-semitism.

Joe Public does not have to apologize for being against Zionism. It's a perfectly legitimate political viewpoint. And, incorrect, Joe Public, Zionism has a lot to do with child abuse. Can you imagine the trauma of every Jewish male child who is abandoned by his mother on the eight day of his life? His mother abandons him and hands him over to the mutilators. Imagine the RAGE of every Jewish infant as his penis is being mutilated. His mother has abandoned him to the mutilators. The physical pain in his penis is intense. Where is his mother when he need her to protect him from the mutilators? And you say what is happening in Palestine today has nothing to do with child abuse?

It would be a good thing if parents waited until their children are eighteen years old before they start suggesting that it would be nice to mutilate their sons' penises. Then maybe their sons could have some say in the matter. It all comes down to respect. Child abuse is child abuse. Moslems do it. Jews do it. The Irish do it. The English do it. However, a physical mutilation of your child's genital organs.... anyone who does that is really very sick. Forget about racism. Just think about every child in every tribe.
