I mean what were they looking for, and why go after it after all this time?
I'm assuming this is in some way connected with Genoa.
I know it's early days but does anyone have any idea what they managed to seize (video etc..), if anything?

Maybe it has to do with the fact that in Italy in the last few days a minister (Skajola?) commented to journalists that he had ordered police to fire live rounds at protesters if they showed any sign of breaching the Red Zone. This has led to further uproar about the whole Genoa Thing. I am also aware that an international IMC crew UK/Italy have been travelling in italy conducting look back and bring up to date interviews for the overall upcoming IMC Documentary on Genoa. Maybe it has something to do with that. I'm no expert so this amounts to conjecture.
I think theres a lot of big business corrupting the government in Italy. Correct me if Im wrong.
That is prob a factor.
They warrant states that it's indymedia that was the foucs - the spaces are not imc offices just spaces people work out of - for note one was a COBAS trade union office. The Warrant states they are loking for materials related to Genoa.
Yes a film was being made - assume they got it all, as they took away a lot of materials including computers and videos - they also took computers and paperwork related to any of the groups using the spaces, so thye have seized a LOT of information under the cover of just going after IMC material.
After the admitting of the shoot live rounds inside the red zone, they Italain authorities have said - wait until you hear the full story - many people expect them to make some link between terror networks and the anti-globalisation movement (remember there was a lot of talk about itel suggesting an attack was likely during the G8 protests, hence the missile batteries at the genoa airport).
We must show solidarity with IMC Italy, and with all free information projects. More repression will be coming.
