Podcasts are great. But by leading us to spend our time wearing headphones listening to others chat, they're leaving us more isolated than ever, says Joanna Gray. What we need are podcasts that bring us together.

Should a Right-wing, reforming government gain power at the next election, it will face the full resistance of the Blob. The 2023 ousting of Dominic Raab is instructive in how this will run, says Dr David McGrogan.

Against Censorship

Motion passed at Na Fianna Éireann Ard-Fheis, Dublin, June 22 2003

"That this Ard Fheis of Na Fianna Éireann deplores the recent and continuing
censorship of Republican views.

We note in particular the campaign being carried out by the Andersonstown
News against The Blanket website. The Andersonstown News has threatened
legal action against any publication which criticises it and has intimidated
a website and a newspaper which carried the views of Anthony McIntyre, a
Republican ex-POW who disagrees with the Good Friday Agreement and the views
of Provisional Sinn Féin.

Na Fianna Éireann wishes to make known our condemnation of this censorship,
it has no place in the politics of Republicanism. We send our support to
Anthony McIntyre and the Blanket Website and affirm our belief in the right
to free expression among all sections of Republicanism in Ireland".

Good that Na Fianna Eireann recognises the importance of this censorship and that it's members are willing to stand in solidarity with 'The Blanket'.

The more organisations and individuals who do this the better. You do not have to have Republican views of course.

We passed this motion to defend all peoples right to free speech, whether they be Republican or otherwise.
The Provisionals does not have a monopoly on what people should think and neither do we.
As Bobby Sands once said, "You cannot put a rope around the neck of an idea".
We believe that to be true.
We also have a forum, where they express our opinions in a free and open manner. The link is below.

Pitty Ray et al at Indyemdia.ie still fully support censorship on this website.

Indymedia should allow free speech and the freedom to report news, not censor the bits that they dont like.
