2. “Carlo Giuliani Commemoration”. Carlo Giuliani, an Italian protester, was shot dead by the Caribineri during the anti-G8 demonstrations in Genoa, on Friday July 20th 2001. A group of anarchists and anti-capitalists marched to the Italian embassy in Dublin on the second anniversary of his death. (8:51) http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?story_id=60495

3. “Anti Privitisation”. CIE Bus and Train workers are facing an uncertain future as the Minister for Transport Seamus Brennan plans to privatise the company. They held a public meeting after having a ‘Free Fares Day’ industrial action. (8:38) http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?story_id=60544

4. “Critical Mass/Dublin Cycling Campaign”. The Critical Mass meets on the last Friday of the month for a cycle around Dublin. This time the CM teamed up with the DCC to highlight what they considered to be the failures of the “National Safety Council”. (14:25) http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?story_id=60558

5. “Stop Esso”. Stop Esso is a campaign against multinational oil giant ExxonMobil, sponsored by a wide range of environmental groups and NGOs. They organised a drum and bass night in the Temple Bar Music Centre to promote awareness of the campaign. (10:37) http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?story_id=60513

6. “Killer Coke”. The Latin American Solidarty Campaign set up an information stall on Grafton Street in Dublin to launch a boycott of Coca-Cola, which has been involved in anti-union activity in Colombia, culminating in the assassinations of trade union leaders. All profits go towards the cost of the next one. Simple as that.

If people want to MP3 this or sell it on O'Connell Street then there's not much I can do about it really. But I would HOPE HOPE HOPE that people will buy it for the measly price of 3 euros and support the IMC audio project, i.e. me, to do another one.

If people do MP3 it or copy it up and sell it for themselves, then there's less money for the IMC audio project -> less chance of me putting in the effort and my own money again.

Also: I only saw the meeting about Tim Hourigan after it had finished. I would have liked to talk with him.

If people can drop the audio.. sorry radio list (or me) an email beforehand about these things then I'll usually try and make it along with the recorder. I'm free most of the time and travelling on the bike is only dependent on whether its raining or not.

That means that if the IMC audio project can sell lets say 100 discs, not have any left over, then the project might just have a bit of a float to buy discs and material for the next project without someone on the dole having to put all the money up front!

Eventually if the cashflow gets good enough, the project might even become a little fundraiser for IMC, or even be able to purchase some recording equipment so that indymedia audio is not just limited to those with the capital ability to buy recording material.

Well done Kev on an excellent initiative.

will it be OK with you if people burn copies and sell them on O'connell Bridge?
and when will the MP3 files be up?
or are you planning on retiring on your dole and I estimate approx 0.45€ clean profit on every one!

Email is imckevin (at) dublin (dot) com

Also, if people want to distro them outside Dublin, please let me know.

I'll pick up a few copies and spread the word by mail.

Any plans for distributing outside of that smokey conglomeration?

...and if this is a success (hint: go buy it now, my dole doesnt stretch very far to be buying stacks of blank CDs etc) then hopefully there will be more to come.
